Historically, it’s been used in salves and ointments to calm irritated skin, support the healing of minor wounds, and nourish dry, delicate areas.

Application Uses: All skin types, used to colour cosmetics and soaps though colour results may vary depending on pH and other formulation factors.

Recommended Usage Levels: Recommended usage: 0.1% - 2% for cosmetics/skincare depending on desired pigment intensity and formulation type.

For soap making can be used up to 10%.

Use in cool down phase to help preserve pigment vibrancy.

If using in emulsions or water-containing products, note that the pigment may shift in colour depending on the pH of the final formulation.
