EspressFoam™ is a coffee-based surfactant made using upcycled coffee oil, offering formulators an unusual way to incorporate coffee-derived ingredients into cleansing formulations.
Its primary surfactant format is designed for water-based cleansing products, including shampoos, body washes, hand washes and facial cleansers.

WHAT IS ESPRESSFOAM™?
EspressFoam™ is a coffee-derived surfactant developed using upcycled coffee oil.
Rather than using coffee only as a botanical extract or oil, this ingredient gives formulators a way to explore coffee in a completely different format as part of a cleansing formulation.
It is particularly interesting for brands and formulators looking for unusual, upcycled and naturally derived cosmetic ingredients.
WHY COFFEE?
Coffee is one of the world's most familiar botanicals, but its potential extends far beyond the cup.
EspressFoam™ forms part of Incicellar's upcycled ingredient collection, giving coffee-derived materials another application within cosmetic formulation.

FORMULATION USE
EspressFoam™ can be used in:

FORMULATION NOTES
EspressFoam™ is water soluble and has low oil solubility.
For use as a primary surfactant, the current supplier guidance states 15–20%. As a secondary surfactant, 5–15% is suggested. The broader recommended usage on the current Incicellar listing is 5–20%. Incicellar
Add slowly to the water phase under gentle stirring to minimise foam formation.
Recommended processing temperature: 40–45°C.
Always carry out appropriate stability, compatibility and preservation testing in the finished formulation.
